What Our Community Says

|
An authentic, welcoming, and life-changing centre.

I have been attending Sakya Thubten Ling for several months, and I can honestly say it has been a profound and positive change in my life.

What first struck me was how genuinely lovely and welcoming everyone is. I was new to all of this, and I really loved that there was absolutely no pressure to become a Buddhist. They welcome everyone, whether you are just curious about meditation or looking for a way to gain control of your mind and live a life with more compassion and happiness.

The centre itself is just a little gem, and a truly authentic Tibetan Buddhist Centre right here in Bournemouth. I was so fortunate to be able to take refuge and receive the Green Tara initiation when the founding Lama, Khenpo Lekshey (who is the director of the main Sakya Monastery in India), visited this September. It was an incredible experience.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. It’s a supportive, peaceful, and special community.

Crystals & Reiki

I was inspired to take a look at Buddhism after having a health issue a few months ago . On my first visit to the temple, the welcome I received was amazing. The temple was absolutely stunning and the atmosphere was soothing and just what I needed. After a couple of months I was very lucky to be able to take refuge with Khenpo Lekshey during one of his visits to this country. It was a fantastic experience. I now regularly attend the teaching and meditation sessions and can honestly say for me it has been life changing
